ILLUMINATE
Goodwill Industries of Tulsa, Inc.
The Illuminate Award honors a model fundraising drive conducted by a nonprofit organization to benefit Tulsa Area United Way. Not only are these organizations a champion of their own mission, but they are also responsible for a significant portion of the annual fundraising drive.Goodwill ran a fundraising drive built on connection and creativity. Their “Harvest of Hope” kickoff brought partner nonprofits together for a hands-on resource fair, with a scavenger hunt that helped employees learn about services across the community. The campaign extended into their retail thrift stores, where customers were invited to round up purchases, making everyday shopping a way to give back. This year, Goodwill increased employee participation by more than 20 percent and grew their fundraising drive by over 40 percent.

Kimberly-Clark Corporation – Jenks Mill
This award is occasionally bestowed to a company, organization, or group that displays exceptional camaraderie, shared purpose, and collective goodwill for the Tulsa Area United Way community, and to the community at large.Rooted in their mission of better care for a better world, Kimberly-Clark’s commitment to giving back shines through in every aspect of their campaign. From their annual golf tournament to a spirited dunk tank and a successful product sale fundraiser, employees came together in meaningful ways to support their community. Beyond fundraising, Kimberly-Clark’s team demonstrated a deep connection to the community through hands-on volunteer efforts like Day of Caring, reflecting a culture where service and compassion extend beyond the workplace.
SMALL BUSINESS
Budco, Inc.
This award recognizes a company with up to 50 employees that demonstrates robust leadership, volunteer engagement, and conducts a model fundraiser.Budco’s support of Tulsa Area United Way was driven by employees who felt a strong connection to the work of its partners. During a gathering with fellow employees and leadership, they learned about the breadth of partner programs and how those efforts benefit the community. Several employees even shared personal connections, with family and friends who have benefited from United Way network services. With a particular passion for youth opportunity and creating access to healthy social activity early in life, Budco brings a relationship-driven approach to giving.
MID-SIZE BUSINESS

This award honors the best fundraising effort by a business with 51 to 250 employees that demonstrates robust leadership, volunteer engagement, and conducts a model fundraiser.HoganTaylor brought employees together around a shared purpose through a creative campaign called “Districts of Giving,” inspired by the Hunger Games. Designed so every employee could play a role, the campaign emphasized participation, storytelling, and fun, from friendly competitions and themed events to hands-on volunteer service in the community. Employees appreciated knowing their contributions were stewarded responsibly and directed toward real local impact, supporting system-level solutions that elevate the community as a whole.
GREEN COUNTRY BUSINESS
Youth Services of Creek County
The Green Country Business award honors an organization outside the City of Tulsa. The recipient engages their employees and full company footprint, provides volunteers, and conducts a model fundraiser.Youth Services of Creek County’s commitment to Tulsa Area United Way comes from seeing impact firsthand. Their employees understand the true value of giving because they witness how it directly supports children, families, and community partners across the region. Though their team includes just 14 employees, Youth Services of Creek County’s dedication is anything but small. They work hand in hand with local partners to strengthen families, uplift youth, and create meaningful change. Their campaign reflects a deep belief that even a small team can make a powerful difference in the community they call home.

Helmerich & Payne
This award recognizes an organization that has established a model leadership giving program, defined as an annual gift of $600 or more. Programs usually include incentives, leadership engagement, and internal recognition.At Helmerich and Payne, leadership giving comes to life through a value they call Service Attitude, doing their part and more for others. During a weeklong campaign, employees began learning from nonprofit partners who they would later serve on Day of Caring. That learning turned into action, with 110 employees volunteering their time to serve the community. For the second year in a row, the executive leadership team matched new payroll deductions, reinforcing a culture of participation.

The recipient of this highest honor engages fully with United Way including increases in overall giving, participation, and volunteerism. In addition, the recipient offers robust volunteer programs.With this award, Jim Norton Auto Group exemplifies what a truly comprehensive campaign can achieve. Employees give generously, confident that their support remains in Eastern Oklahoma and strengthens the communities where they live and work. Creative initiatives including auctions, raffles, leadership luncheons, and visible support from senior leaders fueled organization-wide engagement. An October incentive even tied fundraising to vehicle sales, seamlessly turning everyday business into meaningful local impact. Through strategic planning, enthusiastic participation, and strong leadership, Jim Norton Auto Group has set a powerful standard for what is possible when philanthropy becomes part of a company’s culture.

CLYDELLA HENTSCHEL VOLUNTEER AWARD
Betsy Grabel Jackson
Named in honor of the first woman to co-chair the Tulsa Area United Way fundraising drive and start Day of Caring, TAUW’s signature volunteer program, the Clydella Hentschel Volunteer Award recognizes an individual who goes above and beyond to enhance their community impact by engaging in meaningful volunteerism.
Betsy Grabel Jackson is a shareholder at Hall Estill where she practices in the corporate/commercial area, specializing in corporate transactions, securities, and real estate. She earned her J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law and her undergraduate degree (a B.B.A. in Finance) from Southern Methodist University. Betsy began her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Paul Mannes, Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Maryland, and then with Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in Washington, D.C. Upon returning to her hometown of Tulsa in 1996, she joined Hall Estill. She serves on the firm’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
Betsy is a dedicated community member and currently serves on the board of directors for Tulsa Cares and the Tulsa Botanic Garden. In addition, she is also a member of the Tulsa Women’s Commission for the City of Tulsa. She previously served on Tulsa Area United Way’s board of directors and as a Vice Chair on Tulsa Area United Way’s Centennial Committee in 2024.
In 2018, Betsy received the Oklahoma Bar Association Ada Lois Sipuel Fisher Diversity Award. In 2019 she was named one of the Journal Record’s “50 Making a Difference.” In 2023, she was awarded the Mona Salyer Lambird Spotlight Award presented by the Oklahoma Bar Association. Most recently in 2025, Betsy was a Carolyn Helman Licthenberg Crest Award winner for community service given by the national chapter of the Pi Beta Phi sorority and was the recipient of the Outstanding Senior Alumna Award from the University of Tulsa College of Law.
Betsy is married to the Honorable Gerald L. Jackson, Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. They are longstanding members of Tulsa Area United Way’s Tocqueville Society and have provided mentorship through TAUW’s NextGen United and Tocqueville Society Mentorship Match. In 2022, Betsy and Gerry were both honored at the Tulsa Cares Red Ribbon Gala with the Patricia Chernicky Luminary Award.
